Lymphedema Decongestive Therapy
This therapy combines physical therapy, massage, skin care, and compression bandaging to reduce and control the swelling. Patients are taught how to apply compression bandages at night and to wear compression garments during the day. Patients are instructed in self-massage, exercise, and skin care. With these skills and diligence, patients can successfully self manage their lymphedema to help improve their function and aesthetics.
